This project designs a collection of products that reinterprets traditional Kutch crafts in a modern, elegant way, offering delicate yet empowering dresses for women. Rooted in eco-friendliness and handcrafted luxury, the collection aims to appeal to national and international customers while promoting sustainable fashion. It integrates traditional embroidery with contemporary silhouettes by thoughtfully adapting heritage motifs to align with current market needs and opportunities for product diversification. Rather than following short-lived trends, the collection is envisioned as timeless, helping preserve and promote traditional craftsmanship. The project empowers embroidery artisans, provides a platform to showcase their skills, and encourages conscious consumer choices through the use of eco-friendly materials such as Kala cotton and other handloom fabrics. Strong collaboration between apparel designers and artisans resulted in exceptional products that highlight the value of traditional crafts in contemporary fashion and positively impact artisans, the environment, and the fast-fashion landscape.
