This graduation project focuses on reimagining the retail experience for Tanishq to engage a younger audience while introducing silver jewelry as a new product category. The project’s core objective was to deepen understanding of evolving consumer expectations and translate these insights into a store experience that balances brand legacy with contemporary appeal. Key challenges addressed included limited product exploration and reliance on assisted browsing. Through a multidisciplinary approach involving user research, market analysis, interviews, prototyping, and expert consultations, the project explored how retail fixtures and spatial design could empower customers to independently discover collections. The findings emphasized the importance of persona-driven design, intuitive layouts, and thoughtful fixture systems in shaping engaging retail environments. The project highlights how customer-centered design, when aligned with brand constraints and innovation, can broaden appeal, enhance user autonomy, and create meaningful in-store experiences across diverse demographics.
