SAKSHAM
Mr. Hitesh Chaurasia
Daler, a young man weighed down by guilt and deep trust issues, is desperate to unburden himself, but not to anyone he knows. Distrusting the people around him, he devises a peculiar plan: travel to the remote desert of Kutch and confide in a complete stranger he will never meet again. What begins as a personal, almost sacred journey is quickly derailed when his intrusive colleagues tag along, pushing his intentions to the background. After repeated failed attempts to find the “right” stranger, a frustrated Daler is ready to abandon the plan altogether. Stranded when their driver deserts them, the group’s only way back to Bhuj is Karman Bhai, an unsociable replacement driver who appears suddenly in a rusty camper and doesn’t speak their language. Daler wants to see a saviour in Karman but can’t. As anxiety, confusion, and absurdity escalate, reality begins to blur, and Daler finally finds his stranger in the most unexpected way.
