This project addresses critical challenges in the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, focusing on charging solutions and "range anxiety." While EV adoption is rising, charging time remains a major barrier, often requiring restrictive, carefully planned journeys. Insights from primary research highlighted the lack of standardized charging ports and the burden of unproductive wait times. To reframe this, the project explores how this period can be transformed into a productive or engaging experience. The resulting "Concept Orix" is a forward-looking mobility solution that seeks to redefine the perception of charging. The process involved extensive secondary research into global battery technologies and infrastructure, alongside primary interviews and surveys. By synthesizing functional gaps with emotional and behavioral dimensions, the project delivers a solution that bridges infrastructure limitations and user expectations. The work aims to make EV charging not just tolerable but a meaningful, value-added part of the user's journey, supporting the future of sustainable mobility.
