This graduation project proposes a design philosophy for ceramic surfaces that moves beyond decoration to evoke deeper emotional and tactile connections. The work culminates in a collection of ceramic tiles and a mural for a farmhouse, conceived as quiet emotional vessels that carry memory, softness, and a sense of dwelling. The design process prioritizes suggestion and atmosphere over explicit narrative. Through exploration of form and material, the collection, including a kitchen backsplash and a porch wall mural, is designed to recede visually, anchoring spaces in a timeless and subtle elegance. Each element supports the rhythms of daily life and fosters a seamless relationship between the home and its surrounding environment. Using earthy tones and soft glazes, the surfaces develop a weathered, responsive depth. The project studies how surfaces can do more than decorate by fostering an intimate and quiet dialogue between inhabitants and their living spaces.
