Adapted from Olivier Breuleux’s short story Everything Is Connected, this project follows Sonia, a mathematician and astrologer who practices “mathemastrology” to predict life events. When she foresees her son Parthiv’s death, Sonia becomes obsessed with preventing it, believing she can alter fate. Her relentless attempts strain relationships, particularly with her brother Omkar, and lead her toward isolation and mental unraveling. As the fateful day approaches, the story interrogates the tension between destiny and free will, examining how the desire to control life’s outcomes can push the human mind to its limits. Through Sonia’s journey, the narrative explores the delicate balance of cosmic design, maternal love, and the psychological consequences of confronting the uncontrollable.
