This project explores the role of UX/UI and visual design in shaping engaging and cohesive game experiences across two contrasting genres: extraction shooter and dating simulation games. The focus was on how visual systems, interactions, and interface elements influence player engagement, navigation, and emotional connection. The project involved enhancing the first-time user experience and integrating mini-games for Black, an extraction shooter designed for fast-paced mobile play, and reimagining the full-motion video interface for Hearts Desire, a dating simulation game. Research included studying game design principles, mobile interaction patterns, and player behaviour to understand how consistent visual cues guide gameplay and decision-making. Design outcomes were developed through sketches, UI assets, wireframes, prototypes, and iterative playtesting. The final work demonstrates how thoughtful UX/UI design can strengthen immersion, clarity, and player experience across different game genres.
