In an increasingly digital world, Sutra 1.0 emerges as a thoughtful response to a question often overlooked: What happens to our digital self when we are no longer here? This project explores the sensitive emotional and ethical terrain of preserving one’s social media presence as a meaningful legacy after death. Rooted in the personal loss of grandparents, Sutra 1.0 is more than a design intervention it is a tool for intentional remembrance. It addresses the fragmentation of digital identities across platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp, aiming to consolidate meaningful moments into a curated legacy space. Inspired by the ancient Indian philosophy of sutra (thread), the project envisions weaving scattered digital footprints into a coherent narrative of life and identity. The platform maps Media, Communication, and Identity, assessing each for emotional value and privacy. Sutra 1.0 stands as a poetic system for digital afterlife design, where memories evolve into sacred threads.
