CELESTIA explores the design of a luxury residential furniture collection created for High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs) in contemporary India. The project responds to evolving aspirations shaped by global exposure, where furniture functions not only as utility but as an expression of taste, identity, and lifestyle. The collection aims to bridge global design influences such as Scandinavian, Mid-Century Modern, and Contemporary styles with Indian craftsmanship and material sensibilities. Emphasis was placed on achieving a balance between tradition and modernity to create understated yet aspirational luxury. Materials such as teakwood, natural stone, brass, and leather informed the visual language, reinforcing themes of craftsmanship, longevity, and refinement. Alongside aesthetics, the project prioritises ergonomics and usability to ensure luxury is experienced beyond form. Developed in alignment with Tectona Grandis Furniture’s brand ethos, CELESTIA positions itself as a curated living room collection that combines sculptural presence, comfort, and cultural relevance for the premium residential market.
