This graduation project was undertaken at Welspun Living Ltd., focusing on the research, ideation, and execution of two printed Terry towel collections within a large-scale manufacturing environment. The project provided exposure to professional workflows in towel design, where aesthetic expression must align with functional and production requirements. Both collections were developed through trend forecasting, market research, and collaboration with the in-house design team, covering stages from mood board creation and motif development to layout planning and print feasibility. The first collection explored abstract compositions inspired by contemporary art and colour theory, while the second drew from tropical island landscapes to create playful yet refined motifs suited for global markets. Designs were adapted specifically for Terry fabrics, considering repeat structure, scale, and colour performance. Competitive analysis of international brands informed design decisions, ensuring commercial viability alongside visual distinctiveness.
