Mosquitoes are more than nuisances; they disrupt daily life and pose health risks. Despite numerous home insecticides, gaps in protection, convenience, and efficacy persist. This project at Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) applied system thinking to reimagine the home insecticide experience through a holistic, futuristic, and personalised approach. Using ethnographic research, interviews, and market immersion across urban, rural, and displaced communities, the study identified behavioral patterns, product pain points, and unmet needs. The outcome is a modular ecosystem of solutions, combining primary, secondary, and context specific interventions, tailored to different spaces and user habits. Integrating digital tools and physical products, the design reduces friction, encourages habitual use, and delivers room by room protection. By merging product design with service thinking, the project envisions a smarter, adaptive, and accessible mosquito control system for Indian homes, offering a personalised and forward looking alternative to traditional insecticides.
