This project explores how gamification can motivate healthier financial habits within fintech products. Developed in collaboration with Atlas Consolidated, it reimagines the Rewards Centre of Hugosave, a personal finance app in Singapore—through a behaviour-driven design approach. The project addresses both B2C user engagement and B2B scalability by creating a modular gamification framework adaptable for enterprise clients. Grounded in behavioural design models such as Yu-kai Chou’s Octalysis and Nir Eyal’s Hook Model, the system integrates intrinsic and extrinsic motivators including progress, mastery, curiosity, and rewards. Through UX audits, stakeholder interviews, and iterative prototyping, the redesigned experience introduces elements like daily quests, progress loops, and feedback mechanisms that encourage consistent financial actions. Visual design plays a strategic role, using clear hierarchy, familiar cues, and responsive feedback to build trust and emotional engagement. Overall, the project aligns financial well-being with human-centred, motivational design.
