This graduation project focused on designing sustainable souvenirs for the Shradheya Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee (SABV) Botanical Garden, sponsored by the Central Chanda Forest Division, Government of Maharashtra. The brief emphasized the use of local resources, celebration of Chandrapur’s cultural identity, and skill development of the local community. Through secondary and primary research, three sub-projects were developed. The first revived bamboo handicrafts through artisan skill-upgradation workshops, resulting in contemporary trays and fruit stands. The second introduced handmade paper as a new craft in Chandrapur, using recycled paper and local flora to create diaries and postcards highlighting biodiversity and human–wildlife awareness. The third engaged students through nature-inspired creative workshops, culminating in experiential souvenir booklets. Together, the project demonstrates how souvenirs can integrate sustainability, education, and community empowerment while reinforcing place-based identity.
