This graduation project focuses on enhancing tool service planning and downtime management within ON!Track, developed by Hilti. The project addresses challenges faced by Warehouse Managers who rely on manual processes for tracking tool servicing, often leading to inefficiencies, limited visibility, and unplanned downtime. The proposed solution introduces an AI-assisted widget that predicts service-related downtime and surfaces actionable insights through an intuitive interface, without disrupting existing workflows. Scoped within ON!Track’s infrastructure and data availability as of 2025, the project avoids adding new databases or backend features, instead unlocking value through improved presentation and predictive use of existing data. The design process involved studying user pain points, mapping feasible AI interventions, designing user-centric flows for service visibility and decision support, and prioritizing MVP use cases aligned with technical feasibility. The final outcome supports Hilti’s vision for efficient, digitally enabled construction operations.
