"Nottam is a short film centered on an intimate conversation between two friends as they discuss the subtle ways people communicate through a look. What begins as a casual exchange gradually deepens into a more layered dialogue, exposing unspoken emotions and differing perspectives. As the conversation unfolds, underlying tensions around gender, intent, and perception begin to surface. A single gaze, once dismissed as harmless, takes on multiple meanings, shaped by experience, power, and social conditioning. Through this evolving interaction, the film examines how something as fleeting as a look can carry weight, discomfort, or vulnerability. Nottam ultimately challenges both its characters and the viewer to question assumptions, confront ingrained biases, and reflect on how acts of looking can shape understanding, miscommunication, and human connection."
