Ms. Sucharita Beniwal
This documentation reflects my transformative journey during my graduation project at Welspun Living Ltd., marking my first real world professional experience. My project involved two collections Fantasy & Fables where I applied academic skills to home textiles design. I explored bedding and digital print, translating illustrations into practical, production-ready designs. During my initial weeks, I observed the fast-paced workflows of the design department, learning how concepts move quickly from idea to finalized product. Mentors guided me through company processes, helping me understand how creativity aligns with commercial viability. Collaborating with designers across experience levels taught me flexibility and adaptability, crucial for professional success. By bridging theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, I learned to create designs that are both imaginative and production friendly. This experience emphasized that the gap between academic and professional environments can be navigated with openness, humility, and a willingness to learn, encouraging future designers to embrace this balance in their own journeys.
