PROJECT DELTA30 is a concrete public-furniture system designed in collaboration with TDW Furniture Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, named after the defining 30° deviation angle that enables modularity across all elements. Developed between April and October 2024, the project aimed to create durable, modular furniture solutions for government bodies and urban design corporations, responding to the needs of evolving public spaces. The design process followed stages of discovery, definition, development, and prototyping, resulting in two final elements: a bench unit and a planter unit, which can also function as a tall seating element when inverted. Individually functional, these units form a larger geometric system capable of generating multiple configurations across varied scales, capacities, and site requirements, particularly suited for slow-movement, high-footfall zones. Optional accessorisation points allow attachments such as backrests, lighting, shading, and junction elements. While the planter unit remains open to future iteration, the bench unit is currently being optimised for inclusion in TDW’s product catalogue.
