Globe explores identity and the right to belong, set against the history of land struggles in Kerala’s tribal regions of Attappadi. The film contrasts indigenous worlds with urban life, revealing the systemic biases and displacement faced by tribal communities. Through Kariyan, folk tales and cultural memory surface, while Kunjaaman’s journey grounds the narrative in lived realities, hardship, resilience, and the deep connection between people and land. Without overt exposition, the film traces generations of land disputes and forced alienation from ancestral territories, allowing these histories to unfold organically through character and place. Blending folklore with social reality, Globe reflects on survival, dignity, and the politics of belonging. It urges viewers to see tribal communities not as margins, but as integral to the social and cultural fabric, deserving recognition, justice, and respect for their heritage.
