This project began with enhancing geospatial experiences for IBM Maximo Mobile and gradually expanded into a broader engagement across IBM’s sustainability ecosystem. The scope evolved from UX design to contributing icons to IBM’s Carbon Design System, creating illustrations to communicate sustainability concepts, and redesigning the internal Sustainability Hub used across the organization. Working within IBM’s global design frameworks, the project involved close collaboration with cross-functional and cross-geography teams, balancing enterprise constraints with user needs. Beyond product outcomes, the work also extended to design advocacy—initiating knowledge-sharing sessions that improved internal workflows and collaboration. Guided by the principle learn–apply–amplify, the project demonstrates how academic design foundations can scale into enterprise-level impact through visual systems, experience design, and sustained collaboration within a corporate environment.
