This project explores narrative-driven design through unconventional approaches to modern day horology, questioning how timekeeping devices can move beyond pure function. It aims to create deeper emotional relationships between users and their watches through meaning making, personalization, and storytelling. While Titan has long embodied elegance, restraint, and broadly appealing refinement, contemporary watch culture is shifting toward individuality, provocation, and self-expression. Responding to this change, Wound in Whimsy proposes playful timekeeping for Kidults and Gen-Z consumers through three distinct watch series inspired by Indian nostalgia, musical associations, and illusive geometry shaped by perspective. Rooted in exploratory industrial design and CMF for lifestyle accessories, the project reimagines the familiar watch face as an enigma curious, layered, and engaging at first glance. By manipulating form, color, material, and narrative, the watches invite discovery rather than instant readability. In a consumerist society of disposability, the project emphasizes attachment, encouraging lasting bonds with everyday objects and highlighting meaning.
