This graduation project investigates the role of trend forecasting and Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) design in shaping innovative and emotionally resonant products, with a focus on the jewelry industry. While CMF and trend insights increasingly influence product identity, brand perception, and lifecycle extension, jewelry design often remains material-centric, with limited integration of macro-trend analysis. Addressing this gap, the research explores how trend forecasting can inform product innovation, differentiation, and emotional engagement. Using a PESTLE analysis and secondary trend research, Leisure Travel emerged as a key macro trend under the broader Experience More movement. Visual trend boards, brand studies, and primary consumer research informed the development of traveler personas and design opportunities. These insights led to three modular, travel-inspired jewelry directions that respond to evolving consumer needs for functionality, personalization, and storytelling. The final outcome demonstrates how a trend-driven, CMF-led approach can enable the jewelry sector to create relevant, expressive, and future-ready products.
