This graduation project explores contemporary expressions of commitment through We & Me, a gender-inclusive collection of commitment bands designed for the Indian market. Moving beyond ornamentation, the project positions jewellery as a medium of individuality, emotional connection, and personal meaning. Responding to millennial and Gen Z preferences for self-expressive and personalised jewellery, the collection celebrates diverse relationships between partners, friends, and family, framing commitment as a universal language. The design process examined evolving narratives of commitment in India, supported by primary and secondary research into consumer perceptions and global trends. Developed during an industry engagement at Titan Company, the collection leveraged CNC and Benzinger technologies to balance precision, texture, cost, and scalability. The outcome comprises 15 minimal, modern bands characterised by clean forms and tactile surfaces. The project highlights the opportunities and constraints of mechanised jewellery-making, addressing gold weight optimisation, commercial viability, and production efficiency while translating emotional narratives into market-ready designs.
