This project investigates how intangible human experiences can be translated into tangible interactions through visceral nudges and subtle design interventions that evoke instinctive and emotional responses. The early phase explored an emotional terrarium where natural elements like light, mist, and thunder represented joy, sadness, and anger, driven by a message-processing pipeline that visualised WhatsApp texts as atmospheric effects. During an internship at Titan, the project was reframed within the context of global timekeeping. The terrarium evolved into TerraTime, a Weather Simulation Terrarium linked to a GMT watch, displaying real-time weather from global cities through synchronised lights and sound. This pivot successfully aligned the poetic inquiry with Titan’s brand ethos while preserving the focus on ambient interaction. The final outcome, TerraTime, demonstrates how technology can extend beyond flat screens to make emotions, weather, and time visible as meaningful, sensory-driven experiences, bridging the gap between digital data and physical, poetic reality.
