This graduation project investigates the role of Colour, Material, and Finish (CMF) as a strategic medium in shaping culturally resonant luxury bath experiences in India. High-end bath design in the Indian context has traditionally drawn heavily from Western aesthetics, often overlooking local cultural narratives and sensorial values. Addressing this gap, the research explores how CMF can move beyond surface-level aesthetics to act as a driver of wellness, identity, and storytelling for High Net-worth Individual (HNI) consumers through 2027. The study examines socio-cultural shifts, sensorial expectations, and emerging lifestyle trends, positioning CMF as a core innovation lever. Four thematic narratives emerged, with two signature themes, Integrated Naturalist and Tailored Tranquility, highlighting biophilic principles, therapeutic finishes, and digitally integrated wellness. Key outcomes include an Indian-rooted CMF vocabulary, a trend toolkit, and a detailed CMF guide, enabling brands and designers to create future-ready luxury bath environments grounded in cultural authenticity and emotional resonance.
