The Project focused on the revival and reinterpretation of ancient craft techniques within contemporary luxury menswear. It involved developing a design collection structured around two key segments: Indian couture/traditional wear and pretwear/western wear, with strong emphasis on artisanal methods such as hand embroidery and hand painting. Conducted in collaboration with an industry partner, the project was guided by real-world brand requirements, enabling meaningful engagement with professional design practices. It created an opportunity to bridge traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics, resulting in a menswear collection that balances cultural heritage with innovation. The design process included extensive research, concept development, sampling, material exploration, and final execution, aligning creative intent with industry expectations. The project reinforced a holistic understanding of design, both in creative articulation and market relevance. This experience enriched technical and conceptual skills while strengthening independent problem-solving abilities, preparing for future contributions to the fashion and textile design industry.
