This project focuses on designing a specialized furniture system for vinyl record collectors, developed in collaboration with Colonial Collections, Mumbai. The objective was to create storage solutions that support the complete analog audio ecosystem, including LP records, turntables, amplifiers, speakers, and related accessories. The project began with an in-depth understanding of vinyl listening culture, user behavior, and functional requirements unique to analog audio setups. Research included user studies, material exploration, and functional analysis to develop a design language that balances practicality, craftsmanship, and cultural relevance. The resulting collection bridges contemporary furniture design with the nostalgic essence of vinyl music, offering refined storage solutions that preserve the analog experience while addressing modern spatial and organizational needs. Each piece is designed with a strong emphasis on user-centric functionality, durability, and aesthetic coherence. The outcome is a record cabinet system that combines emotional resonance with thoughtful detailing, tailored for collectors, enthusiasts, and modern living spaces.
