With e-commerce growing at an average annual rate of 51%, this project focused on the Engagement vertical to address the increasing need for sustained user interaction on online platforms. Engagement plays a critical role in influencing key stages of the commerce funnel, particularly purchase and retention. Aligned with the platform’s strategic shift from a commerce-only model to a commerce-tangential ecosystem, the objective of this internship was to explore engaging and gamified interaction opportunities through usable, feasible, and scalable product solutions. The platform’s existing structure separates content-heavy pages (such as home feeds and theme stores) from UX-intensive pages (including checkout, listing, and product display pages). A key goal of the project was to bridge this divide by proposing a unified framework that integrates rich content with functional UX. This framework enables content automation while delivering more dynamic, engaging, and adaptive user experiences across the platform.
