The project’s objective was to come up with solutions for in-cab display that can be used to help make the lives of the operator and manager easier by providing efficient communication, navigation and monitoring features. The project started with research on existing technology. This was followed by a market and situation research of the industry in India. The findings indicated that although the concerned technology is highly developed abroad, it is too sophisticated and expensive for the Indian industry. The project helped in identifying the reasons behind the problem and exploring solutions, taking full advantage of available technology and the changing scenario in the Indian earth moving and construction equipment industry.
