With the “mobile first” philosophy that is picking up, Microsoft focused on content creation on mobile devices. It was very open-ended and was not confined to what type of content was to be focused on or what platform was to be targeted. The final design was in the form of an application for mobile phones that enables the users to create text heavy, long documents on their phones fast and easily with a seamless thought flow. The application followed an incremental design process. Since the users had already been using certain applications that existed and served their various documentation needs partially, it was important that the foundation for these users be maintained.
