This project aims to design a mobile app companion for business travellers, which is in line with IBM’s effort to spur application development for "cognitive" applications powered by Watson. The purpose is to design a travel application that can understand the profile of the user from his social media data, and make personalized recommendations by analyzing various user generated content such as likes, status updates, people connections, routine activities and calendar entries. The project not only aims to give personalized recommendation but also context aware and adaptive recommendations that are the most appropriate for the user at that point of time. The aim of the application is to help the user feel connected to the place and feel comfortable.
