Auto rickshaws have a great evolution and history and this project focused on the revamping of one of the most essential public transport vehicles in India. The project dealt with re-designing the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Essential changes included improving the claustrophobic rear end, providing vehicle stability and passenger safety, provision for boot space, protection from weather and developing a new design language for the auto rickshaw. Driver centric design for the display controls gave insight about the serviceable and functional aspects of the vehicle.
