This project was undertaken with Fabindia Overseas Pvt. Ltd, to develop the summer 2016 print collection. The themes ‘Chenab’ and ‘Orchha’ were inspired for this collection. The project brief was to understand the market, the consumer need, demand, trend forecast, the present identity of the company, the kind of market they cater to, the infrastructure, etc., as well as the constraints of artisans and their craft and to come up with a range of concepts of new fabrics for prints. The project gave an opportunity to understand the design process in a small set up and the challenges one faces with limited resources.
