The personal vehicle of the near future has to be compact and sustainable as it is the only way to tackle traffic congestion, increasing fuel prices, and pollution. Quadricycles are a step in this direction. They are compact, light, cheaper to construct than cars and highly fuel-efficient. They will play an important part with respect to intra-city transport in India. The objective of the project was to conduct research on the platforms of various quadricycles available in Europe, a few small cars in India, construction parameters, materials used, etc. and also adaptation of Maruti Suzuki’s evolving design language in exterior design.
