The brief of the project was to design a range of ceramic serving bowls for Good Earth’s existing collection 'Silk Route'. This collection encourages hand painted ornamentation and other surface techniques such as wax resist. The objective was to develop serving bowls, which were to sync with the production process of the outsourced industry i.e. premier ceramic industries. The surface techniques were also to be identified under the umbrella of Good Earth. A collection comprising eight varieties of bowls for different dishes was to be made keeping in mind production feasibility, stackability, handling, ergonomics and aesthetics.
