Aviation Corporate Uniform Solutions

The project was to design and develop uniforms for an airline, after understanding and applying systematic knowledge about the psychological, physical and social attributes in the design and use of things affecting working condition and productivity.

The initial stage was to understand the industry, its departments, their working conditions. A market study of airlines was done. Surveys and interviews were conducted to understand their mental and physical state, while working. These were analysed and different looks created on basis of directions identified, and refined further. The looks were made into prototypes at the final stage.

Aviation Corporate Uniform Solution was the name coined for the project. The intention was to develop a collection in accordance with their working conditions, functionality, brand image, climate condition, quality standards, color, comfort and aesthetics. The project had two final collections; one with an Indian look and the other, western, for three major departments.
