This project was about Prime Services, a business that helped clients to invest money in different stock exchanges and markets. The target audience comprised client service representatives for whom a workspace that met their daily work requirements had to be designed.
The project involved interaction with different client service representatives from various businesses as well as from different nations. It also involved issues which the user faced while working with back-office teams. The design process began by interviewing the users and the people they interacted with at work. It moved forward to design findings, different lines of businesses, different regions, personas, user needs, task list, proposed solutions, information architecture, and pencil sketches.
The main idea was prototyped using paper prototyping, mid-fidelity prototyping, and interactive prototyping. The prototypes were shared with a wide range of users and were iterated many times as per the feedback and requirements. Iterations at every step helped change the workspace according to the needs of the users. Users with different regional, cultural, and social backgrounds had different issues, so the concept of Universal Design was used to meet the requirements of the users. This was also kept in mind while selecting colours with similar connotations across the globe. An icon set was designed based on the most commonly found pictographic figures across the globe.
This project has helped get a better understanding of business in a corporate environment. It gave an insight into the needs of the users and the techniques of designing a universal solution. |
