As the digital marketplace extends across a growing array of screens and devices, audiences have more choice and control over how and when they engage with content. Publishers, agencies, and broadcasters are seeking comprehensive and flexible solutions that will allow them to reach customers, monetize content and build brands. Adobe creates tools and solutions for creating, developing and optimizing content. Primarily a desktop and web solutions provider, Adobe is now targeting new mobile and tablet devices such as iPad and Xoom. This market is growing at a rapid pace and Adobe wants its solutions to be available on these devices and platforms. We explored various products and solutions for such devices. We also had to find out what the experience with such devices would be like. Since this segment is still growing, we needed to identify the target audience and thus re-think and re-imagine these products on such devices. The scope of the project involved examining various Adobe products and solutions and identifying and understanding the features that would cater to the users of tablet devices. The final applications which were developed were in the domain of image editing and organizing and aimed at making the activities fun and the whole user experience simple and intuitive. As the two applications near the completion of their respective stages, I realize that I have been privileged to be a part of a project which is so exciting, challenging and futuristic and has tremendous scope and several applications. These two applications offered me an enriching and enhanced learning experience. |
