My diploma project was to develop an effective brand identity and communication print materials for an existing educational store PITARA, which is a rich source of teaching-learning material for children, developed by various organizations (including Eklavya) for promoting meaningful education. The Objective of this project was to develop identity which is playful, appealing and recallable. There was a need to visualize the whole system of communication keeping in mind the factor of budgetary constraints of the organization. My design process started with studying and analyzing the identities of other well known educational stores like National Book Trust, Children Book Trust, Jodo Gyan, People Tree, Landmark, and Crossword. Through this project, I had the opportunity to see how changes at the micro level can impact changes at the macro level. Children, parents and school teachers were the primary target group for this project. This project was indeed a great learning experience which helped me translate the language of institutional learning into a real life scenario. The manifestation of a design solution in its relevant scenario is indeed a challenging task. |
