My project involved researching the behavior of users of social networking platforms to increase the involvement, entertainment and usage of the social networking website for emerging markets (such as India and Brazil) by providing unique user experience through innovative ways.
The concept I designed, ‘Socio-Me’ will help users to interact, share, play, make friends, discover new things and remain in contact with friends. The target audience is the internet user of emerging markets in the age group of 14-25 years.
‘Socio-Me’ is an innovative interaction which forms a bridge between gaming and social networking and each acts as a medium of interaction with the other. Both realms are blended together. It acts as a dynamic platform where a user can decide his/her preference. If one wants to be social, one has to play the game. The fusion of both realms ensures that social networking buddies don’t feel like they are forced to play games and gaming individuals don’t feel that they are forced to be social. It is completely equipped with game arena, chat rooms, personalized chat rooms, gifts, social networking features, personalized ambiences etc. The concept is designed to generate revenue for the company. It is designed in 2D with an experience of 3D world because of technology constraints in emerging markets. In future this exciting concept can be converted in 3D to give users a more personalized feeling and experience.
My exposure and horizons have considerably broadened by working with professional designers on this project and understanding their views. |
