The diploma project comprises a series of five promotional videos of channel brand promos for a then upcoming niche English national television channel, Real Estate TV.
My first promo is ‘Let’s go home,’ which targets middle and upper middle class people who strive very hard to earn their living. Encompassing what “home” means to various people, the promo tries to capture the essence of the ideal home and finally how real estate TV caters to this need of having 
a home.
Next, is a series of three sand promos. Sand being the basic element of real estate, and the picture of children building sand castles flashing before my eyes, made me come up with the idea of sand animation. The first of the three is a composition that slowly reveals a face holding a home in his hand that symbolizes the innate feelings of a human being to have his own home. The next one is a composition of a mother and child walking uphill towards home, which represents home as the space one gets back to after work and play, a place of shelter and comfort. The final one is a playful concept which begins with the moon and the night sky with stars twinkling like dots. These dots then join to form high rise buildings.
The last of the five promos encompasses every element touched upon in Realty Check, the news segment of the channel. This segment caters to the news from the realty zone as well as infrastructure.
This journey of the project gave me a fair amount of understanding of what and how much goes into the setting up of a television channel and how working with a team towards the image building of the channel is important.
